ABOUT US

We started dealing in books comparatively recently in 2002, with particular interset in the New Naturalist Series, but have always had a keen interest in books, being avid collectors. Tim’s professional background is in landscape architecture, he is qualified as a chartered landscape architect, though before becoming a full time book dealer was a project manager on various construction schemes.   Having been brought up in Central Africa, the son of a wildlife artist and writer, natural history is very much in Tim’s blood, and this is shared with his passion for plants particularly irises. Tim has a very extensive collection of species irises growing at Landreyne.

Kate joined the business in a full time capacity in August 2007, though her background is in occupational health.  A natural organizer, Kate concentrates on the management and marketing of the business. She particularly enjoys the contact with returning customers.

We currently have around 10,000 books in stock and these are located at our premises, Landreyne Manor, in dedicated book rooms and in a converted 18th century barn.

We are always keen to hear from our customers and fellow bibliophiles, so if you do have any queries please do get in touch. We are not a formal shop but visitors are welcome by appointment. We are situated about 8 miles south of Launceston, close to Bodmin Moor. It is a beautiful part of Cornwall, so even if you do not find the book you are looking for a visit is worthwhile for the countryside alone!
